The number of employed has increased slightly in the country, authorities said.
The number of employed persons aged 15 to 74 in Sweden in December 2011 indicated a slight increase, according to a labour force survey by Swedish Central Statistics Bureau (SCB).
The employment rate was 65.1 percent, and unemployment rate was 7.1 percent, reported Xinhua.
The positive trend of employment was mainly contributed by the increase in the number of temporarily employed people, which was mainly among women, said SCB, adding that seasonally adjusted data showed that the number of hours worked increased by 2.8 percent in December 2011 compared to the same month in 2010.
